Job description

As a Product Manager Assistant (PMA) within the Mil/Aero Division, you will support the Product Manager in all aspects of managing a high-reliability, compliance-driven product portfolio. Your role will be integral to maintaining accurate product data, ensuring supplier coordination, supporting customer sales inquiries, and contributing to the success of this strategic business segment.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of Mil/Aero product lines, including components qualified to military standards (e.g., MIL-DTL, AS9100).

  • Maintain and update product data related to technical specifications, certifications, part numbers, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate with Mil/Aero suppliers to ensure the availability of technical data, pricing, lead times, and regulatory updates.

  • Support sales and customer service teams with detailed product knowledge, datasheets, and customer-specific compliance needs.

  • Monitor inventory levels, demand trends, and supplier lead times to help manage product availability for long-lead and ITAR-controlled items.

  • Generate and maintain reports on pricing, performance, and market data specific to the Mil/Aero segment.

  • Contribute to product lifecycle management including product introductions, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life notifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Compliance, and Purchasing to ensure adherence to Mil/Aero standards and requirements.

Job requirements

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge in the interconnect or electronics distribution sector is highly desirable.

  • Fluent in English (C1); other European languages (e.g., German or French) are a plus

  • Understanding of Mil-Spec, ITAR, and AS9100 requirements is an advantage.

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling compliance-critical data.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

  • Commercial or technical education with relevant professional experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ITAR and export compliance regulations processes.

  • Experience with supplier audits and quality control processes.
